Biography
Dr. Almahdi is a full time interventional cardiologist at the Dabbous Cardiac Center since July 2014. He received his medical degree from the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland in 2001. He then had his training in Internal Medicine in Kuwait and became Kuwaiti-board certified in Medicine in 2007. In 2010 he started his post graduate training as a fellow in Cardiology at King Faisal Specialist Hospital in Riyadh, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. During the three-year fellowship training, he was appointed as “chief fellow†two years in a row. He received the 2012 fellow-of-the-year award. After completion of his general cardiology training, Dr. Almahdi joined the interventional cardiology fellowship training program at McGill University Health Center (Royal Victoria Hospital) in Montreal, Canada in 2013. Dr. Almahdi is primarily interested in chronic total occlusions. He has a few medical publications along with contributions in a few medical textbooks as well.
